Excellence Through Joy

ABOUT KANSAI INTERNATIONAL MUSIC ACADEMY (KIMA)

KIMA is the new exciting educational institution based in Kansai. Located just a few minutes walk from the Hankyu Shukugawa station, we are a music school based on the European/British tradition of excellence in music education. We provide a variety of individual instrumental music lessons within the range of different styles, tailored to our students' needs, abilities and ambitions. We also provide music and movement lessons for the very young ones. All our lessons are taught in English with a possibility of use of Japanese depending on candidate's knowledge of the English language. Within our educational ethos and as a part of our curriculum each of our students will also attend our group music theory and musical knowledge lessons, taught in English and designed to enrich their vocabulary and improve their communication skills. You can just have fun, learn to play an instrument and improve your English or you can take your commitment to the next level by taking a grade exam. We are also an appointed examination center for The Trinity College London.

Trinity College London has been providing examinations since 1877. Originally part of Trinity College of Music, Trinity devised the world's first music grade and diploma examinations and since then has continued to expand. Today Trinity conducts over half a million assessments and examinations in over 60 countries worldwide, and has gained an enviable international reputation as one of the leading examination boards.

We look forward to meeting you soon!

KIMA was founded by Yukari Yamashita Jocic and Vladimir Jocic, a married couple both Masters of Music Education, Trinity Collage of Music London.

Yukari and Vlad have over 20 years of joint professional experience in music education, teaching both instruments and theory to a wide variety of students.

By establishing KIMA Yukari and Vlad have realized their long standing ambition to promote and enable musical talent trough consistent application of their rigorous yet joyful academic style.

KIMA's methodology is based on Yukari's and Vlad's belief that nurturing students' own passion for music is most instrumental in enabling them to realize their full potential and reach the highest academic and performing standard possible.
